Dear Auburn families:
Friends of Auburn Music Education, Inc. (F.A.M.E.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the music and theater programs of the Auburn Public Schools, also known as Auburn Fine Arts Department (AFAD). Essentially, we are the booster club for the music and theater arts!
F.A.M.E. is comprised of community-based volunteers dedicated to providing physical and financial support to the AFAD so that students may have enhanced experiences above and beyond what can be reasonably provided by the annual district budget. With the community’s help, our goal is to ensure that all Auburn students realize their full potential through these programs, today and for years to come.
Our fundraising goals can be achieved through various events throughout the school year, such as:
Raffles held at chorus, band and theater productions, as well as, other special events.
Special events, including Bemis Farm build-a-scarecrow, quarter auction, wreath making, and other family-fun events.
With your help and financial assistance, we aim to:
Replace aged or broken equipment and/or instruments
Purchase new equipment to fill an unmet need
Defray the cost of school-based trips
Provide a college scholarship to a graduating senior
Other items as requested by the faculty
Studies show that music education not only improves reading and math skills, it also promotes creativity, social development, personality adjustment and self-worth.
Please consider showing your support during our membership drive. F.A.M.E. holds monthly community meeting where all are welcome, join us each month or drop in when you can. The meeting schedule can be found on our website or Facebook page.
We often need some helping hands / volunteers at our events. Please send us an email or sign-up for our email list on our website.
On behalf of all of us, thank you for your consideration and we look forward to partnering with the community to support the success of all Auburn students.
